The big BID event is two weeks away!

As we consider forming our own downtown BID, don't miss this exciting chance to hear from the BID leaders across the country, who will share why their BIDs were formed and the impact they've had on their downtown areas.

THE "BID" EFFECT breakfast will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 8:00 - 10:00 am at the Radisson Hotel Rochester Riverside.

View the electronic invitation and register today!

The registration deadline is Friday, June 20. Tickets are $12 per person (hot breakfast included). Downtown property owners may attend FREE OF CHARGE but are required to register.

Attention downtown property owners:

You have another opportunity to get informed about the proposed downtown BID during "Drop-In Days" for property owners on the following dates:

Have you been to Syracuse lately?

If you have, you may have noticed a vast improvement in the activity and environment in their downtown. Retail has followed rooftops as the housing market booms, and 25 new businesses have opened in the last year alone.

What are they doing right that we're not doing here in Rochester? One thing you can point to is their business improvement district (BID) called "Downtown Committee of Syracuse".

The organization focuses on tenant attraction and retention, provides developer and business support services, and organizes events that benefit businesses and create street vitality, among many other things.

Visit their website to learn more about what they're doing, and read the full story on page 3 of this publication
