WELCOME TO THE 2016 CUP FELLOWS
CUP is pleased to introduce the 2016 CUP Fellows. Twenty-six talented professionals with a passion for civic engagement have been selected from across the public, private and nonprofit sectors to join this year's CUP Fellows cohort. Through the CUP Fellows Program, participants will complete a rigorous ten-month leadership development experience that includes comprehensive trainings on topics such as board service, fundraising and public speaking. The 2016 CUP Fellows Program kicked off on February 20th with a day-long session hosted by Citi. The Fellows participated in business improvisation and an interactive workshop designed to assess their leadership and communication styles. CUP'S 2ND CDO ROUNDTABLE HOSTED BY THOMSON REUTERS
On Tuesday, February 23, 2016, CUP held its 2nd Chief Diversity Officer Roundtable "Does Diversity Create Bottom Line Value?", hosted by Thomson Reuters which convened 80 senior executives and junior high-potential professionals across industries to engage in cross-sector dialogue on best practices for instilling diversity & inclusion (D&I) principles and behaviors into organizational culture and systems. Panelists included: Mandell Crawley, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Morgan Stanley; Patsy Doerr, Global Head of Corporate Responsibility & Inclusions at Thomson Reuters; and Daisy Auger-Domínguez, Global Head of Diversity Staffing at Google Inc. CUP Member Taneshia Nash Laird, CEO of Legacy Business Advisors, has been appointed by Newark, NJ Mayor Ras Baraka to the city's Economic and Social Responsibility Commission. She's also been named an advisor to the nonprofit Athletes Economic Alliance as well as a economic policy panelist on the New Jersey Now public affairs show.
