TECHNOLOGY OUTLOOK FOR 2015
On Tuesday, September 22, CUP held a tech talk event, Technology Outlook for 2015, hosted by Wells Fargo. The evening's program included a test-drive of the Tesla Model S P85D and an overview of its technology, as well as brief remarks by Joe Solan, Vice President, Wells Fargo; Kirk A. Williams, Vice President, Planning Continuum Strategy, Wells Fargo; Brendan Jonland,Regional Vice President, American Funds; and Alex Rieflin,Owner Advisor, Tesla.
THIRD ANNUAL CUP FELLOWS ALUMNI CONVENING
On Saturday, September 19, eight classes of CUP Fellows gathered for an interactive and enriching day of development and networking. The Third Annual CUP Fellows Convening: Building Dynamic Relationships, hosted by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer US LLP, included a strategic networking workshop, small group coaching sessions, a keynote conversation with President and CEO of Partnership for New York City Kathryn Wylde, and a CUP Fellows Alumni Panel featuring Natasha Holiday, Director at RBC Capital Markets (2009 Fellow), Essence Liburd, Assistant Vice President of Global Investigations at Moody's (2013 Fellow), Cidra Sebastien, Associate Executive Director at The Brotherhood/Sister Sol (2010 Fellow) and Assemblyman Robert Rodriguez (2008 Fellow). MORGAN STANLEY RETURN TO WORK PROGRAM
Morgan Stanley recognizes that successful careers today often do not follow a traditional path. The Return to Work Program is an opportunity for experienced professionals who have taken a break from the workforce to re-engage and re-start their careers. During the Firm's 12-week paid internship, participants will work with colleagues and senior leaders across the Firm, as well as participate in training and networking events. Qualifications and Requirements include: excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills; at least 7 to 10 years of experience in the financial services industry or other relevant areas, currently on a career break of at least 2 years, and interest in returning to the workforce full time.
