On Thursday, June 25, CUP held its Seventh Annual Women's Leadership Forum, "Women - Unleashing Courageous Leadership" hosted by New York Life Insurance Company. CHIEF DIVERSITY OFFICER ROUNDTABLE
On Tuesday, June 30, CUP launched its inaugural Chief Diversity Officer Roundtable, hosted by Bloomberg LP, which convened 75 senior-level executives and key business leaders from across sectors to discuss Under-Leveraged Assets: Women of Color in the Workforce. Our dynamic panelists included: Dr. Ella L.J. Bell, Professor of Business Administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College; Robert E. Bard, President & CEO of LATINA Style Inc.; Jane Hyun, Founder & President of Hyun & Associates; and Ripa Rashid, Senior Vice President of Center for Talent Innovation. A SEAT AT THE TABLE: THE ART OF FUNDRAISING
On Thursday, July 9, CUP members attended an A Seat at the Table training on The Art of Fundraising, hosted by our nonprofit partner, Graham Windham. Attendees learned key techniques and strategies for fundraising, a critical skill for effective board service. Attendees were joined by Graham Windham's Executive Director, Jess Dannhauser, Board Secretary Barbara Marcus, and Senior Advisor of Communications and External Affairs, Harry Berberian. CUP LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE PARTICIPANTS ATTEND SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK
On Monday, July 27, CUP Fellows and Executive Leadership Program participants attended a performance of Shakespeare's Cymbeline in Central Park. The Public Theater invited CUP Leadership Institute participants to attend as part of our A Seat at the Table board matching initiative. The Public Theater's vision is to have great theater available to the widest audience possible: they do this through their Shakespeare in the Park and Astor Place performances, providing free or low cost tickets to productions of new plays, musicals and the classics, as well as over 800 shows a year in Joe's Pub. CUP EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM:NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN
The CUP Executive Leadership Program (ELP) is a premier leadership opportunity aimed at developing the pipeline of diverse senior professionals. The CUP ELP platform includes a mix of workshops, keynote conversations and coaching sessions aimed at unlocking the unwritten rules of success and helping professionals navigate their firms and industries more effectively.
The CUP ELP curriculum is designed to equip a class of thirty participants with the skills needed to advance to the next level by providing leadership training, access to key senior business leaders, and an influential network of peers from across industries. The program content is delivered by CUP through a structured series of workshops over two and a half days via leading academics, prominent thought leaders, industry experts and seasoned trainers.
