A SEAT AT THE TABLE EVENT
On Wednesday, April 30, CUP hosted A Seat at the Table Event: A Conversation on Non-Profit Leadership. On Tuesday, May 13, CUP convened an Asian American Pacific Islander Leadership Forum, hosted by Morgan Stanley. Featured speakers included Valerie Wong, Managing Director and Chief of Staff to the Chairman & CEO, Morgan Stanley and Betty Liu, Editor-at-Large/Anchor, Bloomberg Television and author of the new book Work Smarts: What CEOs Say You Need to Know to Get Ahead. The speakers discussed leadership skills necessary to be successful and the value of sponsorship & mentorship throughout your career.

TABLE TALK: FUTURE OF JOURNALISM IN THE NEW MEDIA AGE
On Thursday, May 15, CUP convened a discussion on the Future of Journalism in the New Media Age, hosted by Thomson Reuters Black Employee Network. Featured speakers were Conway G. Gittens, Reuters News Journalist, and Noah Robischon, Executive Editor at Fast Company. The discussion was moderated by Jonathan Etheart, Client Specialist Manager at Thomson Reuters. The speakers discussed the biggest headlines & stories of the last year, the impact new media has on how news is disseminated, and how traditional media outlets filter & decide which stories are covered. METROPOLITAN BLACK BAR ASSOCIATION HONOREES
On Friday, May 16, the Metropolitan Black Bar Association (MBBA), the largest black bar association in the New York City area, hosted their 30th Anniversary Awards Gala and announced their 2014 MBBA Gala Honorees. Two CUP members, Raymond J. McGuire and Duane L. Hughes, were among this year's honorees. Raymond J. McGuire, Global Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at Citigroup, received the Trailblazer of the Year Award and Duane L. Hughes, Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer, International Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, received the Corporate Counsel of the Year Award.
