It has been a while since you heard from us and Latin Dance Studios (Latinissimo) in general. We feel the need to clarify and explain in more detail what the situation has been with Latin Dance Studios as there seems to be some confusion and misunderstanding in the salsa dance community. To set the record straight it would be best you hear it from us (Giancarlo & Masha) directly as we are the founders of "Latinissimo Dance".

As of 12 May, 2014, Latin Dance Studios Ltd. ceased to exist and ceased all operations in New Zealand. "Latinissimo Dance" was the trading name for Latin Dance Studios Ltd.

However, here's where the confusion may be... There is a Latinissimo still operating in Auckland at the same studio location it has always been, however, please note that this particular Latinissimo is called "Latinissimo NZ". We (Giancarlo & Masha) have no involvement in any of Latinissimo NZ's classes, courses, dance teams or any other activities. This is a completely new company with new management.

Latin Dance Studios Ltd and "Latinissimo" as a company was never sold nor was it ever for sale. The physical studio location and lease was taken over by a new management that decided to not only keep the name, as it is already well known in the New Zealand salsa and Latin dance community, but also to keep all its content that made up the dance studio. The only things that were sold were the physical content of the studio and nothing else. We gave our consent for the new company to use the "Latinissimo" brand as it is already widely spread in the NZ salsa and Latin dance community.

Before we left New Zealand, we did tell some of you that we were going to be involved in the new "Latinissimo NZ's" dance activities by supervising and feeding the studio with new class material, choreography and ideas. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, which were out of our control, this has not come to fruition, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

The website www.SalsaDance.co.nz will in the meantime serve as a source of information and inspiration for Salsa and other Latin dances related to the Salsa dance family. This website will continue to be updated with useful information and news about salsa and Latin dance. However, there will be no updates on classes or courses as we, the owners of the domain, no longer run any dance activities in New Zealand.

Should there be anybody out there who wishes to acquire the domain www.SalsaDance.co.nz or alternatively if you wish advertise any products or services related to salsa or Latin dancing, you are more than welcome to contact us for more info. The domain www.SalsaDance.co.nz ranks very high on Google (1st page) for anything salsa and Latin dance related after years working the domain on the web.

The Online Store page with instructional DVDs and other products is fully functional and you can put your order through as per normal.

It was a great 10 years of operation in the Australasian region with Latin Dance Studios! We made many friends, met wonderful people and created lifetime memories at countless events and competitions with our amazing students and student teams. Thankfully, many of these dance memories that we created through choreographies for Latin Dance Studios and Latinissimo have been captured on camera and can be relived here to take you down memory lane.
