Mary Is Not The Only Favored One
"He has looked at me with favor ... The Mighty One has done great things for me ... His mercy is for those who fear him, from generation to generation." (Luke 1:48-50, NRSV)
In her song of praise, Mary recognized God's favor. But Mary is not the only favored one!
The words "from generation to generation" means that God's favor and purpose extends through time to all believers ...
"God has taken me through a great journey of understanding how I have sacrificed my family on the altar of ministry. In the process of exposing that to me, God used His Word taught in the Spiritually Healthy Leader series and other tools to bring me to the point where I repented of that sin, asked for forgiveness, and received it from my wife and children. I thank God for that vital teaching!"
