#GMO Labeling Bill Fails to Advance in Senate

Despite the best efforts of Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Pat Roberts (R-KS), the Senate failed to invoke cloture on the Biotechnology Labeling Solutions Bill in a 48-49 vote Wednesday, blocking advancement of the legislation that would create a voluntary federal standard for labeling foods with genetically modified ingredients. MyAgData Earns First Data Transparency Certification

The MyAgData reporting service from Independent Data Management (IDM) has earned the first Ag Data Transparent certification.  The Ag Data Transparency Evaluator was created by a coalition of farm organizations, commodity groups and agriculture technology providers and uses 10 questions to help growers understand who has control over data created on their farm.  The questions verify the contracts and privacy policies of the participating company. New IntelliSteer Technology Announced

New Holland announced a new addition to the PLM IntelliSteer integrated guidance system at the 2016 Commodity Classic. Andy Strickland, Western Region Sales Manager for New Holland's precision products, was on hand during the event to talk more about PLM Intellisteer Light, and the benefits it offers growers across the nation. The Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) launched a new campaign at the 2016 National Ethanol Conference (NEC) designed to help the industry voice support for flex-fuel vehicles (FFVs). U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY) is accepting applications for the 2016 Clean Water Awards until June 30. The awards recognize outstanding performance of wastewater treatment plants that operate at poultry or egg processing facilities. Winners will be announced at USPOULTRY's 2016 Environmental Management Seminar to be held Sept. 22 - 23, at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Destin, Fla. MORE
