Bonjour from Italy! We have spent this week in Milan with farmers and bloggers from Brazil, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, UK and us from the U.S.
Jamie, Joanna and Kelly have been keeping all the websites populated while we are abroad. Still posting stuff from Farm Progress Show but almost all done.
In last week's ZimmPoll we inquired about the most important personal issue to today's farmers. Consumers understanding the food sources out there seemed to rise to the top, but was quickly followed by farm estate transition and sustainability.
Which leads us to our latest poll. New Holland's showcase at Expo Milano is focused on sustainability. So this week, let us know what sustainability means to today's farmers.

E15 Offered in Iowa, Again
E15 is being sold to consumers across Iowa who drive vehicles newer than 2001, again. The ethanol blend, that was still sold to flex-fuel vehicle drivers during the summer months, is not allowed to be sold in the state June 1-September 15, an issue that the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) has been working to eliminate. Executives Criticize RFS Delays on Cellulosic Growth
Executives from the advanced biofuels industry are criticizing the Obama Administration for not adhering to its promise to support the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). They say the lack of adhering to mandates has undercut investment in advanced biofuels and sent innovative companies, technologies and jobs oversees. In a letter they write that "broken promise...flies in the face of the President's statements in support of clean energy and climate change policy." MORE

Governors: Restore Wind Research Funding
Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington and Republican Gov. Terry Branstad of Iowa have sent a letter on behalf of the Governors' Wind Energy Coalition calling on the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee to reverse its decision to hamper long-term investment in research advancing American wind power. UAV's Grounded for Take Off at #FarmProgressShow
