This company news release says WindSail Capital Group is investing in the company, giving Genera the resources to scale up its energy crop production and supply chain operations, further expand the portfolio of biomass feedstocks and geographies it covers, and expand the working capital of the company as a whole. Bayer CropScience has EPA Approval for ILeVO 

Bayer CropScience announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved its application for the registration of ILeVO�, the only seed treatment that protects the root system against infections caused by the Sudden Death Syndrome fungus and has activity against dangerous nematodes in the seed zone.  MORE 


New ASTA Consumer Research on Seed Attitudes


The American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) today unveiled results of new research that shows consumers have a lack of knowledge and appreciation for the importance of seeds and seed improvement, until they are presented with specific examples of the environmental, economic and health benefits of seed. MORE

Rising Pork Consumption in Mexico Boosts U.S. Exports

 

October meat export results, which were just released by USDA and compiled by the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF), showed another outstanding month for U.S. pork exports to Mexico. In fact, pork export value to Mexico - $1.3 billion - has already broken the full-year record set last year ($1.22 million), and export volume to Mexico is on pace to set a new record for the third consecutive year. While invasive Asian carp have become a problem for Midwestern rivers in the form of living missiles, researchers are hoping they'll soon to leap onto dinner plates. This article from the University of Missouri says a professor in Mizzou's School of Natural Resources says if you can't beat 'em, then eat 'em. MORE
