Hello ZimmComm Fans: We're back on the road. Right now Chuck and Cindy are in Panama City Beach for the 2014 Southern Peanut Growers Conference. This is our 7th year working with the Souther Peanut Farmers Federation to publish their conference blog Time flies when you're having fun. And these peanut growers like to have fun. One new experience they've had this year was trying a Grilled PBJ Sundae (sliced up grilled PBJ on top of vanilla ice cream). Awesome.
Tomorrow Chuck will head on to Indianapolis for the Ag Media Summit courtesy of FMC and New Holland. He'll be working with our summer intern Sara Gillum If you are attending the event please say hi to Sara. She's an agricultural journalism student at Mizzou and will be needing a job someday!
So for all the AgNerds out there our new ZimmPoll asks the question, "How can technology make farming even better?"
We've been covering lots of precision farming conferences this summer, from the recent Precision Aerial Ag Show in Illinois, to this week's International Conference on Precision Ag in California, to next week's InfoAg Expo in St. Louis. Sometimes it seems like farming can't get any more technological - but can it? What would you like to see on the farm that has yet to become commercially available?
Sponsorship Opportunities: Did you know we have regular features that can be sponsored? Here's a list of some of them.
Here are some interviews from this week you might have missed:
