 American Ethanol Expands Program  
 Ethanol Association Growth Energy is expanding their partnership of Richard Childress Racing and Austin Dillion for the 2014 NASCAR season as part of their American Ethanol program.  Beginning with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Phoenix  International Raceway on March 2, Dillon will race the No. 3 American  Ethanol Chevrolet SS in select races during the 2014 season.  West Coast Offshore Wind Project Moves Ahead  
  
The first offshore wind project proposed for federal waters off the West Coast has just taken a big step forward. Secretary of the Interior Sally  Jewell joined by Governor John Kitzhaber and Bureau of Ocean Energy  Management (BOEM) Director Tommy P. Beaudreau, announced that BOEM has  given the green light for Principle Power, Inc. to submit a formal plan  to build a 30 megawatt offshore wind pilot project using floating wind  off the coast of Coos Bay, Oregon. ABM Opens Facility in South Africa              
 
Advanced Biological Marketing (ABM)  has purchased the assets of BioSolutions, an importer of innovative  technologies for the agricultural sector in Southern Africa. The  acquisition was finalized in December of 2013. Included is the office in  Litchenburg South Africa, a manufacturing facility and a distributor  network. 53rd National Mastitis Council Annual Meeting                        
   
More than 420 milk quality, mastitis and udder health researchers, dairy producers and dairy industry partners attended the National Mastitis Council (NMC)  53rd Annual Meeting held Jan. 26-28, in Fort Worth, Texas. The event  upheld its tradition of offering a platform for international discussion  and sharing research on milk quality innovation and expertise. MORE

 Alltech Feed Survey Reports Slight Increase   
  
Results from the 2014 Global Feed Tonnage Survey released by Alltech revealed a one percent increase in feed production, with global feed  tonnage reporting in at 963 million metric tons, up from 954 million  metric tons last year. Alltech assessed the compound feed production of  130 countries in Dec. 2013 through information obtained in partnership  with local feed associations and Alltech's sales team, who visit more  than 28,000 feed mills annually. MORE

Dairy and beef producers can get free quality certifications. Boehringer  Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. is offering to producers who sign up by April  15 free Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certifications, funded by the  checkoff and giving producers tools to provide the safest and highest  quality beef to consumers.
