Hello ZimmComm Fans:

Does Santa have your Christmas wish list?  We hope you're being especially nice this month!  For you gadget lovers there are many, many new devices that can make your job and life more fun and productive.  Of course, it is okay to unplug sometimes.  Even Chuck and Cindy do.  Yeah, right.

This week the ZimmComm team was out and about.  This made sense to us but you may shake your head and wonder.  First, Jamie was in Chicago with BIVI for their annual PRRS Seminar.  Chuck was in Chicago next touring the Nufarm North American headquarters   And finally, Cindy and Leah have been in Chicago at the ASTA CSS & Seed Expo   Chuck and Cindy had a little bit of a shock with the temps since they're already Florida acclimated.  But you can find lots of stories and interviews on AgWired.com from these events this week.

Next up is "Break Time."  It's holiday time so the team will be getting a nice break from the agriblogging highway.  However, you won't find any lack of great content on the ZimmComm News Network.  Remember to keep up with us online, via social media or with the free AgWired App.  Oh, and if you send us your digital holiday messages we'll feature them on AgWired when we can.

Our latest ZimmPoll asked the question, "Do you plan to make any year-end equipment purchases?"

Our poll results:

No - Not this year:  35%
  Yes - Planting equipment:  18%
  Yes - Sprayers:  12%
  Yes - GPS/guidance:  12%
  Yes - Hay equipment:  6%
  Yes - Harvest equipment:  6%
  Yes - Tillage:  6%
  Yes - Other:  6%

Looks like most of the farmers out there are either up-to-date on equipment or satisfied with what they have. Are things like Farm Bill uncertainty holding you back?

Our new ZimmPoll is now live and asks the question, "Which winter farm shows/events are you planning to attend?" Are you planning to get out of the house to browse new products and services this fall and winter or wait and see what spring brings? Let us know!

Here are some interviews/audio from this week you might have missed:
