Join us for an afternoon of wine tasting, delicious appetizers and fun at the Soda Center on Sunday, August 18, from 2-5 p.m. Buy your tickets now! $45 per person until August 9 ($60 thereafter). Ticket includes SMC logo wine glass, appetizers and all tastings. $15 per person for designated drivers, which includes appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages. See which wineries, breweries and vendors will be joining us. (Attendees must be at least 21 years of age.)

New Psychology Center Opens
The School of Science unveiled its new Psychology Center, with new and remodeled faculty offices and expanded classroom space, at a reception on May 22. Read more about the long-awaited renovation and view a photo gallery of the grand opening celebration.
Miss Manners Teaches Students to Socialize

The Career Center's Gina Snyder, who retired last month, has initiated hundreds of students in the fine art of business etiquette over the years. She teaches them to juggle glasses and conversation at cocktail parties, shake hands with conviction and network like a pro.
Facebook Funds Women in Technology Scholarship Facebook has given $25,000 to Saint Mary's College to create a scholarship fund for women interested in pursuing careers in technology. The Facebook Women in Technology Scholarship will provide $5,000 a year for five years to provide scholarships for female digital media minors.
 Father Sal Celebrates His Jubilee
Father Salvatore Ragusa celebrated his Jubilee - 25 years as a priest - this month with a special Mass, attended by members of his Salvatorian order and the campus community. View a slide show of the Mass. Afterward, he was honored with a dinner and slide show of "Father Sal Through the Years" with photos from his early life and the 19 years he has graced this campus.

Dellavedova Named WCC Scholar-Athlete
of the Year
SMC basketball star Matthew Dellavedova was named 2013 West Coast Conference Mike Gilleran Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Read the story. Dellavedova has signed to play as a free agent for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2013 NBA Summer League games. With a positive showing, he could be signed by Cleveland or another NBA team for the 2013-14 season.

Gaels on Rugby All Americans List
When RugbyMag.com announced its Men's Collegiate All Americans for the 2012-13 season, three SMC student-athletes - Jordan Bouey, Garrett Brewer and Nick Wallace - were included among the 30 athletes. This spring, the Gaels advanced to the D1-A national championship fin als. Read more.
