Sesquicentennial Gala Glittered on Treasure Island
Saint Mary's College celebrated its 150th anniversary on Nov. 3 with 600 of its closest friends and supporters. The evening generated more than $641,000, with the proceeds benefiting student scholarships, and highlighted the College's role in the Bay Area and its historical roots in San Francisco, Oakland and Moraga.

Associate Dean Named Distinguished Lasallian Educator
Shyam Kamath of Graduate Business and Global Programs has been honored as the 2012 Distinguished Lasallian Educator for the San Francisco District of the Brothers.
Honoring Our
Alumni Veterans
Saint Mary's military veterans were honored at a moving Veterans Day ceremony attended by more than 60 people. The names of two Gaels who perished in Vietnam and Iraq, Stephen Hanson '61 and Timothy Martin '04, respectively, were added to the College's memorial plaque.
The Sabatte Family: A Lasting Legacy
The John A. and Mary M. Sabatte Family Endowed Scholarship was created in 1985 in memory of the Berkeley Farms Dairy founders. Currently the largest scholarship at Saint Mary's, the fund generates enough income annually to support more than 50 undergraduate Gaels.
A Night of Networking at Dine With Alums
Students and alumni gathered for this annual networking event featuring a keynote address by Susan Chritton MA '92, author of "Branding Yourself for Dummies."
Alumni SERVE Local Families

More Than 100 Attend Global Economic Forum
Held in association with the Commonwealth Club of San Francisco, this third annual forum tackled issues around corporate social responsibility, the Euro crisis, the role of multi-national corporations and the mindset shift needed to create sustainable companies.

Volleyball Season Ends After Tournament Play
After earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, the Gaels rallied from two sets down to defeat San Diego State last Thursday, but lost to No. 4-ranked USC in the next round last Friday.
Four Gaels Earn 2012 WCC Honors
Kristina Graven and Gabby Jolly from the women's volleyball team earned All-WCC First Team honors, while Lauren Corp was selected to the honorable mention squad and Dalas Dodd was named to the WCC All-Freshman Team. Way to go, Gaels!
Women's Hoops Undefeated in Concord Classic
The Gaels finished the SMC Hilton Concord Classic as the only undefeated team with a 70-67 win over Chattanooga.
Dellavedova an Early Candidate for Wooden Award
Reigning West Coast Conference Player of the Year Matthew Dellavedova has been chosen as an early front-runner for college basketball's most prestigious honor, the John R. Wooden Award, by national college basketball media members.
