Spring has sprung and many are 'rolling up their sleeves' as hard work behind the scenes is in full swing. Pictured are 4 of the 7 members who attended the LSV Lifesaving Conference last month.
This Season we moved from a 'paper based' membership joining / renewal system to an online one, like most Surf Life Saving Clubs utilise. So far over 300 members have got online and the Office team are working through this 'streamlined process' which will bring financial savings in the administration of this large annual project. These savings allow us to invest into equipment, programs and major works that benefit all members and the wider community. Don't forget to get in quick to take advantage of some large savings for renewals !
We were recently advised of our successful application in this year's State Government VESEP Grants program. The grant will allow us to update our four wheel drive, an ATV and to purchase an additional outboard motor at no cost to us, as the trade ins on the 4WD and ATV will cover 'our % contribution'. The investment of the State Government to our Club this Season with this grant (and the solar panels scheme) is greatly appreciated and takes some funding pressures off the Club.
If you're a Facebook follower you may have seen an appeal by Liam and Bim for people to register their willingness to assist with the "Nippers in School" project. Last Season saw us resume this wonderful project and without your support the successful project cannot continue to develop and improve. To register or for more information regarding this, please contact Liam at svp@pointlonsdaleslsc.asn.au or

In coming days our new Merchandise Officers (Sue and Julia) will launch a brand new online store which will allow you to browse, select and pay for your merchandise via the web. We're excited to be making this development which moves us into current ways of doing business. Keep an eye out on Facebook / Twitter / the Website for this one.
