Well done to Ash Baxter, James Coutie and Huw Joyce who recently received 100+ patrol service awards, during National Volunteer Week at LSV. Thank you for your contribution and well done !
For most of the membership, the Club is probably far from your mind and thoughts as you undertake other leisure / sporting pursuits, work, study and everything else in life.
There are a number of working groups that are however keeping on with Club projects and taking the advantage of 'our quieter time' to get stuck into projects to make our Club even better. Thank you to these members and below are some updates from some of the working groups.
The Building Committee is set to publicly invite applications for the role of Architect / Lead Consultant to move this important project along. This is a vital step and one that other successful (rebuilding) Life / Surf Life Saving Clubs have engaged as we progress along the new Clubhouse timeline.
The Back Beach Working Group have now held their first meeting to discuss the process for the rebuilding of the front (original) section which is riddled with concrete cancer. This group will hopefully soon start the design and costing process to assist to establish a Budget and firm up the finances of this project.
The Strategic Planning working group are set to have their first meeting in June, to finalise the project timeline and are currently reviewing the Club's current Strategic Plan as well as the LSV and SLSA plans.
