I last wrote to you a little over 3 weeks ago and so much has happened since then !
I hope that you have a great (hot) Christmas and that 2016 brings you everything that you are hoping for.

So much has happened since the last edition and so much is happening at present around this great Club of ours !
What a huge but successful week we had with the new live in format Cadet and Bronze Camp. There were some teething issues but the program was very well received by the Cadets / Bronzies and their parents. Great work Paul, Justine, Charlie and the many that supported this massive week !
Pop up success. What can I say - so many are simply blown away at the success of Beach Bonnet - you just need to look at how many new people are coming and using the Clubhouse to be impressed by this new initiative. The Clubhouse revamp looks a treat, so big thanks to Bec, Charlie, Liam, Andrew, Alan and again the many lending a hand in the background to get this off the ground.
To Jo, Tim, Charlie, our Patrol Captain's / Vice Captain's and patrolling members, thanks for the work that you're doing 'over the hill' with our core business of keeping the Back Beach safe !
The weather has not been that bad and Nippers has started ! Bim, Darcy and your huge team of instructors, water safety and admin team must have said your prayers for the weather to have been kinder than normal.
It seems that each week our Aquatic Sports area is going from strength to strength and thanks to Simon, Kate, Sally, Lorraine and Liam for your leadership. Check out Facebok for lots of pics from the huge Cosy Corner carnival.
Training and Assessment may have just recovered from the Cadet / Bronze camp but a full swing of additional courses are on offer in a joint effort with the Ocean Grove SLSC. Great work everyone !
Somehow Lisa, Mandy and Willow found room to run the Doorknock at the Clubhouse and thanks for the smooth running of this day. While it was a challenge running this on Cosy Corner day this fundraising effort is not over and with boosts like the great Ferry terminal effort this total will grow and then can be announced.
On the morning of Sunday 17th January the Executive and General Committees will be having the monthly meeting and club members are welcome to attend and hear what's happening / ask questions (before the Club Champs). This starts at 10am and please phone the Office on 5258 1257 before the Friday if you are not a Committee member and would like to attend to assist with catering / administrative planning.
For members who may require accommodation during the peak period, we are again opening up a joint partnership with the YMCA Camp Wyuna. Limited accommodation for current members is available between - 5-8 Jan, 11-15 Jan and 24-30 Jan. See the 'Accommodation Service' section on the Club Members Area of the website for more information. Please note that although the paperwork may be dated from 2 years ago, it is current.
In closing, I am hearing lot's of positive feedback from members about what's happening in and around the Club and 'the feel' at present. For Committee members this is a huge "thank you" for us when we hear this as it makes the hard work and extra effort worth it. Thanks,
