Andrew Cernota appointed as
Managing Attorney

A ttorney Andrew Cernota, a 12 year veteran of the firm, has been appointed Managing Attorney responsible for directing all operational and procedural matters at MCR. Andrew retains his normal patent and trademark clientele and docket as he takes on this additional responsibility. According to the founding attorney, Vern Maine, "Our organized teams of attorneys and paralegals function quite autonomously with respect to executing their respective assignments, but it is excellent leadership that assures the firm and its clients of consistently high quality and long term reliability. Andrew has demonstrated the requisite skill, judgment, and maturity to guide the firm in this manner."
Andrew earned his A.B. from Dartmouth College in Chemistry and his J.D. and L.L.M. in Intellectual Property from Franklin Pierce Law center, now University of New Hampshire School of Law. He has lead the firm's Trademark Department since 2007 and maintains an active Patent practice including licensing, technology transfer, and prosecution of patents. Andrew is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Dartmouth Lawyers Association, the Catholic Lawyers Guild, and the American Chemical Society, and is active in his community volunteering in various religious, charitable, and political rolls.
