Meet Attorney Matthew J. Curran:

B.S./M.S. Plastics Engineering, JD, Materials Specialist & Registered Patent Attorney

Matt Curran

Maine Cernota & Rardin, has added another practitioner to its team of patent professionals.  Matthew J. Curran earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Plastics Engineering, with a focus on commercial materials, at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.  He has recently been admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and is licensed as a Registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  We are excited about adding Matt to the team.  His Plastics Engineering degrees further broaden the scope of technical expertise we offer at MCR.  That, in combination with his legal training and impressive personal talents and experience will enrich our talent pool and benefit our clients.

Prior to joining Maine Cernota & Rardin, Matt worked in a variety of capacities, such as R&D, fabrication, manufacturing efficiency, quality control, setup, testing, and validation.  He has worked with composite materials, electromedical devices, and network infrastructure, among other projects, for companies such as the Boeing Company, NxStage Medical, KaZaK Composites, and Network Services at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.  Most recently, Matt provided research support to UNH Law's International Technology Transfer Institute (ITTI), where he was also responsible for creating illustrations for a contemplated publication related to Chagas disease, as well as serving in UNH Law's Intellectual Property & Transaction Clinic, where he provided counseling and transactional services, on a variety of intellectual property matters, to those who were otherwise unable to afford such services.

Matt's personal interests are as varied as his talents.  He enjoys cars, computers, motorcycles, and outdoor activities generally.  Matt and his fiance Nicole reside in Nashua, New Hampshire.

This is just one small example of how we, here at MCR, continue to grow and broaden our expertise for the benefit of our clients.  Please contact us for more information.  And please pass this along to anyone you know who may be interested, or in need of intellectual property legal services.  WE LOVE REFERRALS!

Sincerely,

Vern Maine
