If Not for You by Debbie Macomber
If not for her loving but controlling parents, Beth Prudhomme might never have taken charge of her life and moved from her native Chicago to Portland, Oregon, where she's reconnected with her spirited Aunt Sunshine and found a job as a high school music teacher. If not for her friend Nichole, Beth would never have met Sam Carney, although first impressions have left Beth with serious doubts. Sam is everything Beth is not-and her parents' worst nightmare: a tattooed auto mechanic who's rough around the edges. Reserved and smart as a whip, Beth isn't exactly Sam's usual beer-drinking, pool-playing type of woman, either.
You can find this book in our catalog or download it online.
The Wheelie Mobilee is a mobile educational and interactive museum for young children (and their parents), providing fun, developmentally appropriate activities at local events.
Thank you First 5 of Monterey County for making this visit possible!
Raising a Reader Graduation
This Saturday approximately 15 families who have participated in Raising a Reader will graduate and get their very own blue library book bag. This is an ongoing early literacy program where parents come weekly for 10-weeks and pick up a red reading bag full of 3-4 bilingual books. To learn more about this program, please contact Margarita at (831) 758-7462.
