Salinas, CA -- The City of Salinas is encouraging property owners who suffered damage in February's severe storm to file reports with the County of Monterey.

Reports can be submitted online using the County's Virtual Local Assistance Center at www.co.monterey.ca.us/government/departments-a-h/administrative-office/office-of-emergency-services/recovery/virtual-local-assistance-center.

"The more storm damage information the County collects, the better," said Don Reynolds, the City's Assistant Public Works Director. "It makes it more likely that state and federal assistance will be available to help local property owners recover."

The deadline to submit damage reports is April 7.
