Welcome to our Weekly Newsletter.  This is an opportunity for you to learn about our upcoming programs, library materials, new collections, educational services and more.



In this issue, we launch our Digital Branch, a place where you can stream and download books, movies, television shows, and access a wealth of educational services.

Medical Insurance 

Health Options Fair



Join us for a presentation on various medical insurance options.  Natividad Medical Center, Veterans Affairs, and several other Monterey County agencies will be in attendance.


Light refreshments will be served, and a gift basket raffled off.

Photoshop for Kids




Photoshop for Kids



Children ages 5 - 12 are welcome to join us for this introductory workshop on Photoshop.  Kids will learn basic photo editing tools, and will make a greeting card, or collage to take home.

Highlights from the Collection



Digital Library Branch



On Tuesday, Nov. 1st, we launched a new collection of digital resources that are available for mobile and online access.  Library card holders are able to access educational courses and content available including: Lynda.com, OverDrive, hoopla, Zinio, Rosetta Stone, Learning Express, Value Line and One-click Digital.



Each week, we plan to tell you more about one of our digital resources. Next week our focus will be on OverDrive, a collection of nearly 1000 eBooks, and eAudiobooks.

Did you know that more than 450 adults received help in basic literacy last year at the Library?  With funding from the California State Library Literacy Services, we helped adults get their GED, learn basic computer skills, improve reading skills, apply for a job, and more.
