We Love Sequels and Series!
Harry Potter isn't the only series to be adding a new story - don't miss these great sequels!
Wendy Mass
Little, Brown, $18.99
Wendy Mass is one of the most popular children's writers and this series for middle graders is one of her best! The kids from The Candymakers have gone back to their normal lives, but The Candymaker isn't finished with them yet. Full of action and candy!
Chris Colfer
Little, Brown, $19.99
The crazy imaginative Land of Stories series continues! Conner discovers how he and his friends must fight the Masked Man's literary army - they have to get inside Conner's own short stories. Can the twins finally restore peace in the fairy tale world? Creative and brilliant!
S. E. Grove Viking Books for Young Readers, $17.99 The final installment from the unique world of the Mapmakers, where different eras exist side-by-side. Sophia finally holds the map that might help her find her parents, but a deadly fog and an evil war are threatening her already fragmented world, and her closest friends.
Rick Riordan Disney-Hyperion, $14.99
Not exactly a sequel, but more of an honorable addition to two popular series. The title says it all! Percy and Annabeth team up with the Kanes and epic battles ensue! As they get to know one another, this unlikely team discovers that they have more in common than they could have imagined. But there's a world to save and will they be strong enough to defeat the evil force that is drawing on both Greek and Egyptian forces? Lots of action and fun for Riordan fans!
Erin Hunter Hunter's series for middle grades, Warriors, Seekers and Survivors are super popular - it seems like we sell more than one every single day! The newest series, Survivors: The Gathering Darkness is told from the perspective of the dogs who have survived the Big Growl (an earthquake). In the second in the series, Dead of Night, Storm realizes that the wounds on her dead packmate could only have been inflicted by another dog - but nobody believes her. And could the killer be from her own pack? The first in the series, A Pack Divided, has just come out in paperback.
Soman Chainani
HarperCollins $17.99 The last in the epic School For Good and Evil trilogy, and another stunning cover! With their friendship over, can Sophie and Agatha still work together to defeat Evil? And is their friendship destroyed forever?
James Dean HarperCollins, $3.99 We just love Pete the Cat, one of the few characters who appears in almost every form of book for younger children - and what better way to start your children reading than with a familiar fictional friend? In this reader, Pete must ride to the rescue of the Lady Callie - but what happens when he gets trapped in a dragon's lair?
And for adult readers...
Stephen King Scribner, $30.00 The last in the chilling Mr. Mercedes trilogy. The Mercedes Massacre was not the end. The killer has reawakened from a coma, with new and horrifying powers, and he wants revenge - on Bill Hodges and the entire city. Another thrilling episode from the Master of Horror!
JoJo Moyes Penguin, $16.00 Just out in paperback - the sequel to Me Before You. Life after Will was never going to be easy for Lou. He tried to give her freedom, but an accident sends her right back to where she started - home. How can she move on from here? As absorbing and entertaining as all of Moyes' books!
K.C. Dyer Berkley Books, $15.00 Well, this isn't exactly a sequel, but it is fun! Emma thinks that Outlander's Jamie Fraser is her perfect man. So she sells everything she has and heads off to Scotland to find him!
