Affton Buses Receive Perfect Score
Also Earn Distinction of Total Fleet Excellence

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has announced the results of the Motor Vehicle Inspection's 2013 school bus inspection program.

 

Affton School District's fleet of 17 school buses received a perfect score and earned the distinction of Total Fleet Excellence, awarded to districts earning an approval rating of 90% or higher with no buses placed out-of-service. Read more here

Junior Sleuths Solve Mystery at Camp
St. Louis County Police Teach Crime Scene Techniques

Last week, 12 students from Mesnier Primary worked together to solve a mystery: Who Stole Mr. Bear?

 

These junior detectives conducted forensic lab tests and analyzed evidence to solve the mystery. At the end of the week, a detective from the St. Louis County Police Crime Scene Unit demonstrated techniques and procedures that they use to solve crimes. See more pictures here

Anthony Herron Named Player of the Year
AHS Junior Receives Honor from Suburban East Conference

Congratulations to Affton High School's Anthony Herron, Jr, who was named the Suburban East Conference player of the year by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The shortstop hit .565 with 12 doubles, one triple, one homer, 16 RBI, 24 runs, .620 OBP and .839 slugging percentage. Also went 4-6 with 2.85 ERA and 76 strikeouts in 51 2/3 innings. 

Camp Cougar Makes a Splash
Annual Summer Camp Going Strong

Each summer the Affton School District offers Camp Cougar, an 8-week summer camp for students age Pre-K through entering 7th grade. This year, campers are having a blast - field trips, movies, clubs, swimming, and more! See more pictures here
