On Jan. 9, 17 alumni returned to Affton High School to serve on a College Panel, speaking to current juniors and seniors about "Life After Affton." Representing 14 different colleges and universities - seven public, seven private - the undergrads and graduate students fielded questions about their academic and extracurricular experience. 184 Families Enjoyed Activities Focused on Math Skills

Fifth-Grader Wins Gotsch Spelling Bee
"Authoritative" Was Final Word
Thirty-five students at Gotsch Intermediate School in Affton competed in the school's Spelling Bee on Fri., Jan. 11. Kaitlyn Pluff, a fifth-grader whose teacher is Eric Bowen, won the competition with the word "authoritative." Fourth-graders Kimberly Welch placed second, and Anna Bohnert placed third.
