Get covered in 2014

With the first major deadline of Dec. 24, 2013 just behind us, consumers can rest assured in knowing there's still time to enroll in healthcare coverage. For some consumers who enrolled in coverage before the twice-extended cutoff deadline of Dec. 24, their first premium payment may not be due until Jan. 10. To determine the premium due dates, consumers should contact their insurance provider directly. However, consumers should keep in mind that the big deadline, March 31, is the final opportunity to enroll in healthcare for 2014.

To increase enrollment, many Georgia Licensed Healthcare Navigators are ramping up their efforts to provide additional outreach and enrollment events in the upcoming months. Connecting Georgians to Coverage, a network of 15 community-based organizations in Georgia who are trained and ready to help consumers shop, compare and enroll in health insurance in the marketplace, has already scheduled close to 40 outreach and enrollment events in January alone.

If you or someone you know needs help enrolling in the marketplace, call 855-899-6092 to receive free, in-person assistance at a location or event near you.

Clark Howard says to support Georgia Watch!
As Georgia Watch board member Clark Howard says, Georgia Watch is "the only bona fide group in Georgia looking out for consumers" and a donation to Georgia Watch is "double the bang for your buck, because you're helping a great organization that's working for you and you get savings back on your income tax."

Every donation counts and is fully tax deductible. Donate today!
