One of the most popular activities around the New Year is setting what we call "New Year's Resolutions". Most of us make them. Usually these "resolutions" are discarded or forgotten in less than 30 days. According to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, a New Year's resolution is a commitment that a person makes to one or more personal goals, projects, or the reforming of a habit.
My first experience with investing in creating a personal vision was about 15 years ago. I completed a home-based study course on life planning. During that time I started a vision notebook. As a result of working on my vision I created a map. It took time however I continue to follow the map. Among the goals I set were: a ministry of prayer at my church, a year-long mentoring program for women and writing my first book. These goals have been met.
