It was twenty years ago on July 1st!!!!
...a day in the history of Northview Golf & Country Club

If memory serves us correctly, it was a Saturday, and we were ready (sort of) to open the Ridge course. The golf shop staff had been hard at work until 2 am completing the shop set up, price tags applied and stock displayed. Returning at 6 am we opened the doors to find every price sticker lying on the floor, having come unstuck overnight!  We got a bad batch of price stickers with little stick! A quick clean up and then we opened the doors for a 300 plus day of excited golfers, ready to take on the first Arnold Palmer designed course in the lower mainland. But there was just one problem, it was raining... hard!  We had hoped the weather man was  feeling good and wouldn't spoil our plans. By 9am the clouds parted and the promised beautiful day appeared. The months and years of planning had resulted in a fabulous golf experience that would soon attract the attention of the PGA TOUR. The Canal course was still a year away, but Northview was officially on the map, July 1st 1994!
