Anna's Library Staff Pick:
The Autobiography Of Mrs. Tom Thumb: A Novel
This book by Melanie Brown is captivating! In 1841, Mercy Lavinia "Vinnie" Warren Bump was born average size, but she would reach less than three feet tall as an adult. Vinnie did not let her size slow her down. She led an adventurous life as a school teacher, then as an entertainer on a steam boat. Shortly after, she began working for P.T. Barnum, where she met and married Charles Stratton - otherwise known as General Tom Thumb. Sprinkled with historical facts (Lavinia really did marry Charles in 1863), I had to keep reminding myself it was a work of fiction.

Anna's Staff Pick Is Available In:
Historical Fiction (FIC BENJAMIN)
Large Print Fiction (LP BENJAMIN)
