Tyke Hikes: Please Join Us

The first of eight Tyke Hikes is tomorrow at the Lapham Peak Unit of the Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest in Delafield. Meet at the observation tower and watch for the yellow "Ice Age Trail Event" sign. Tyke Hikes are short, slow-paced walks promoting nature and family hiking lasting up to 90 minutes and covering 1.5 miles. Led by kindergarten teacher Peter Dargatz (in photo), each hike will focus on one topic and include a book and song led by a Delafield Public Library staff member.
10:00 to 11:30 Saturday, April 23 Please register at the library website under Programs.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Kids! Bring your stuffed animal for stories & songs on Friday, and enjoy  a special appearance of Skippy Jon Jones, the Siamese cat character from the Judith Byron Schachner books.  Then, leave the animals overnight for a sleepover at the library. Who knows what mischief will occur when the library closes? Will photographs reveal any "trouble?" Please register at the library website under Programs for this popular event.
