In an effort to consolidate services and improve cost efficiencies, the Delafield Public Library is now part of the new Bridges Library System which includes all 24 of the public libraries in Waukesha and Jefferson Counties.

This means 2.3 million items are now available in our Catalog Access For Everyone (CAFE) online catalog, the third-largest shared catalog in Wisconsin. WOW!

It's almost time for Game of Gnomes: Season 2 at the Delafield Public Library. Here's library staff members Zach and Emily with some of our fabulous, prize-filled mugs. Sign up to earn rewards for reading, watching TV shows, and playing board games. Fun stuff available at the library.

Judy Becker close up
Name: Judy Becker.
Title: Youth Services Librarian.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from UW-Madison.
Full or Part Time: Part time.
Job Duties: Youth services including story times (along with my guitar), family events, winter and summer reading programs. I also work at the circulation desk.
Favorite Thing To Do At Work: I enjoy family and children's events and crafts. I also enjoy "talking books" with kids and adults.
The One Book You Have Reread The Most: I have two: Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice and J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord Of The Rings.
Personal Info: I am married to the best guy in the world and have two amazing children in their thirties. At home, I am completely dominated by my golden retriever and tortoiseshell cat. I love being outdoors: camping, fishing, hiking. I play guitar and piano, and sing in the church choir. I have several undesirable qualities that I attribute to my red-haired ancestors. Of course I love to read!
Favorite Quote: "We're in a library! Books! The best weapons in the world! This room's the greatest arsenal we could have - arm yourselves!" ~Doctor Who
