In an effort to consolidate services and improve cost efficiencies, the Delafield Public Library is now part of the new Bridges Library System which includes all 24 of the public libraries in Waukesha and Jefferson Counties. This means 2.3 million items are now available in our Catalog Access For Everyone (CAFE) online catalog, the third-largest shared catalog in Wisconsin. WOW!

Free Home Delivery For People Who Cannot Visit The Library In Person 
Just like the loyal St. Bernard, we provide personalized delivery come snow or ice. If you live within the Delafield Public Library service area and are confined to your home due to illness, age, disability, other qualifying circumstance, please fill out the Delafield @ Home application at the library or on our website.

Name: Emily Terasa.
Title: Circulation Supervisor.
Full or Part Time: Full Time. I began as an intern.
Education: Two Bachelor of Arts Degrees in English and History with Certification in Museum Studies from the University of Iowa (GO Hawks!); Masters Degree in Library and Information Sciences from the UW-Milwaukee.
Job Duties: Employee scheduling, payroll, computer lessons with patrons, reference, fines, proctoring, and inter-library loans, I also coordinate with the other 24 libraries within the Bridges Library System as needed.
Favorite Thing To Do At Work: Help people find books! I also love to create movie displays, and generate the hold list so people can get their items fast.
The One Book You Have Reread The Most: All the Harry Potter books.
Personal: Other than college, I have lived in Waukesha County all my life. I went to high school at Catholic Memorial. I enjoy reading all genres, watching television shows and movies, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Studies have shown animal therapies to be beneficial for those living with dementia. Join us at the library for a special opportunity for those with early-stage memory loss to socialize with both animals and people. All animals will be available for adoption.
