Marcy's Library Staff Pick:
Deep Down Dark:
The Untold Stories Of 33 Men Buried In A Chilean Mine, And The Miracle That Set Them Free
This title tells you what's it's about but I always say it's never about what it's about. You will be taken through the events that led to the 2010 Chilean mine collapse, the days waiting, and what followed. It goes beyond the story with rich and intimate portrayals of the miners, their families, and their aspirations. It speaks to the human condition and the sometimes unpredictable nature that arises under immense stress. I recommend this gripping book by Hector Tobar without reserve.
