Judy's Library Staff Pick:
Food: A Love Story
Judy Becker with guitar
finished a hilarious book over the weekend that I heard about from Michael Feldman's "Whad'Ya Know?" radio show. It is called Food: A Love Story by Jim Gaffigan. Jim is a stand-up comedian; this is his second book. Chapters are short, but the laughs are long. This is not for the "foodies" out there but for the "eaties." I lost three pounds with all the calories I burned laughing out loud.

Friday, May 1
The Delafield Public Library will host this month's Memory Cafe, a social gathering for those who are experiencing early stage dementia, mild memory loss or cognitive impairment, and their care partners. The Memory Cafe is a place to have fun, find support, and share experiences. Memory Cafes are held monthly on Fridays at four public Lake Country libraries. The Lake Country Memory Project is free, but registration is required by calling Wendy Betley of the Alzheimer's Association at 414-479-8800.
