Community Poetry Contest 
Begins Monday, March 9; Deadline April 10
  
Winners will read their poems during our special April 18 poetry presentation at the library with the 2015-'16 Wisconsin Poet Laureate Kimberly Blaeser. Winners will be contacted Wednesday, April 15. Names will be posted on the library website. April is National Poetry Month.  
 
Poetry Contest Rules:
~Submit only non-published, original works (limit 2 per person)
~Submit entries by 5:00 pm Friday, April 10 to deref@wcfls.lib.wi.us (Attn: Poetry); or in person at the library front desk (entry forms available at the front desk).
~Paper entries must be no larger than 11 x 17 inches in size
~Indicate which judging category your poetry falls into: 
Grades K-3; Grades 4-6; Grades 7-12; or Adult

Are You A Weather Buff? 
 
The library is offering a fascinating free online class entitled:
Changing Weather & Climate In The Great Lakes Region. Facilitated discussion with UW-Madison's Steve Ackerman is held at the library every Tuesday evening 6:30 to 7:30 through March 17. "Join us for a lively discussion on SPRING at this Tuesday's class," said library director Terry Zignego.  Please register online from the library website.
