Marissa's Library Staff Pick:

       Temping Fate

Love mythology? Watch as Ilana is dropped in the the working world - with a twist. When she starts working at the Divine Relief Temp Agency, she's surprised that no one is bothered by the the little skull she drew on hew face, her shirt that reads "ORC:  The Other Green Meat," or her sardonic sense of humor. Ilana's surprise grows as she realizes she's working for the Three Fates, in charge of life and death. Her summer just got a lot more chaotic. I recommend Temping Fate by Esther Friesner.

Welcome Marissa!

Thank you:
Lake Country Quilt Guild
The Lake Country Quilt Guild has generously donated beautiful hand-made quilts created by member Pat Parks to be displayed at the Delafield Public Library. For more information on the guild, please contact guild chairperson Carol Ann Aiken at 560-1323. The DPL is most appreciative of this sharing of talent and skill.
Remember the Library in this Season of Giving
There are many ways to help your library that cost nothing or next to nothing.
 Here's how:
~Bring your Sentry receipts to the library, we receive 1 percent from totals.
~Join the Friends of the Delafield Public Library, no membership fee.
~Donate used books to the ongoing library book sales. Children's books sell extremely well. Donation guidelines are listed on the library web page.
~Volunteer an hour a week to help keep our book shelves in order.
~Sign up to share your art on our art wall or feature your collection in our display case.
~Impress somebody! Bring a friend to one of our many free library programs.
~Spread the word and share our library's brochures in the local businesses that you frequent.
Thank you.
Insider Librarian Tips . . . from Marcy:
helpful tips

Browsing books are one of the DPL's best kept "secrets." New, popular books may have a long line of hold requests. Browsers cannot be placed on hold or renewed, so remember to check the browsing shelf. Enjoy a full three-week check-out period.  Please ask us where to find browsing books.
