Paulette's Library Staff Pick:

       The Rosie Project

Don Tillman, a brilliant geneticist, thinks that having women fill out a six-page, double-spaced questionnaire before a date is logical and reasonable. Rosie Jarman, an impetuous barmaid, thinks Don should loosen up and learn to live a little.  Follow this unlikely pair in this laugh-out-loud, feel-good story of unexpected joy, self-discovery, and love.  A charming book by Graeme Simsion; The Rosie Project is one of my favorites of 2013.

Paulette is a new weekend reference librarian at the Delafield Public Library.
She is a voracious reader and go-to expert for advice.
Welcome Paulette!

What Is Christian Fiction?
The DPL has over 700 items of this fast-growing area of literature.  Christian Fiction incorporates Christian elements or beliefs into the storyline of a novel.  These books usually do not contain profanity, explicit sexual content, or strong violence and may appeal to those looking for gentler reads.  Christian Fiction incorporates sub-genres including mystery, historical fiction, sci fi, fantasy, western, romance, etc.

What you need to know about:  HOLDS
Enthusiastic Delafield library patrons placing items on hold from our website's online catalog often appear in the library twenty minutes later expecting to pick up their holds (yep, it happens a lot!). Please wait until we notify you that your holds are available.  Items may be coming from other libraries, or there may be a waiting list. By viewing your account online, you may be better able to anticipate when they will be available. Hold notification methods include email, text message, or telephone. Please visit the circulation desk to choose the notification method that suits you best for our popular hold service.
