Celebrating National Poetry Month in April

Jane's Library Staff Pick:

Three Times Lucky

by Sheila Turnage

      Jane PurtonThree Time Lucky jpg

New sixth-grader Mo LoBeau has plans for the summer which include hanging out with her best friend Dale Earnhardt III and his dog, Queen Elizabeth II.  Those plans do not include a murder and it's ensuring investigation by a detective, a hurricane, a bank robbery, or two unexpected disappearances of people she loves most in the world.  The characters in this chapter book for grades 3-5 are all wonderful, but Mo stands out as a clever, brave heroine of our time.

Insider Librarian Tip from Katy:
helpful tips

When looking up nonfiction subjects in the online catalog, don't bother writing down all the call numbers for many books on one topic, just write one down.  They're all right next to each other on the shelf; plus look in children's (they will have a J in front, otherwise the same call number) and nonfiction DVDs.
