Terry's Library Staff Pick:
The Sandcastle Girls: A Novel
Modern day novelist Laura Petrovian is prompted to learn more about her heritage after visiting an exhibit about the Armenian victims of ethnic cleansing. This historical fiction novel by Chris Bohjalian travels back and forth through time between Laura's present-day search for family history and her grandmother's life in Armenia a century ago. This novel is both a romance and historical lesson on the Armenian genocide, something most people know little about.
