Ian Gould

 Delafield's Ian Gould Sings for
Irish President
Ian Gould, of Delafield and North Ireland, had the distinct honor of performing for Michael Higgins, President of the Republic of Ireland on July 12, in a goodwill gesture between the two Irish countries.  Ian said he was invited to perform at a garden party in Dublin, with many Northern Irish diplomats present as a way to "move forward as one group of Irish people," according to Ian. July 12 is historically a significant date between Northern Ireland and the Republic, often marked with tension and violence.  Ian wrote a special song, Look How Far We've Come, just for the occasion.  Ian, a Delafield resident since 2009 who grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is married to Elizabeth Gould, a teacher at University School.  They have two children, Kilian and Emerald.  Ian is an avid user of the Delafield Public Library and has performed at their grand opening in 2010, and on their Come Visit the New Library video on youTube.  His two cds are available for check out at the library, 2 Steps Forward and Calling Home.  A talented singer, composer and musician, Ian performs regularly at local hot spots.  For more information, please see www.iangouldmusic.com.
