Governor's May Revision Surprises Few, Plays It Safe  

 

Governor Brown released his administration's annual May Revision to the January budget today.

In it, he proposes to put a Rainy Day fund on the November ballot, paying down debt for

teachers' retirement obligations, and increasing predicted enrollment in Medi-Cal due to the

Affordable Care Act. None of these proposals surprised capitol insiders, and are reflective of the

Governor's image as a fiscally prudent administrator.
