HHP Members Say Goodbye to a Friend

Patricia Vanderpool passed away peacefully the morning of April 21, 2014. She epitomized what a hearing professional, hearing aid practitioner, and a true friend should be.
"Pat" received her Hearing Aid dispensing license in 1975 and joined HHP/CA (then, the Hearing Aid Association of California) in 1982. Active member does not begin to describe the service she provided to her profession for nearly 40 years. As well as being a Hearing Aid Specialist, Pat also worked for Starkey Laboratories and Siemens Hearing Instruments for twenty years.
Pat single handedly held together southern half of HHP/Ca. As District President she organized quarterly meetings bringing together members from Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties. She chose the menus, arranged the programs and mailed the announcements before she got on the phone and cajoled members to attend.
Her smile and colorful wardrobe invited you into her world, her laughter and her compassion made her an unforgettable and valuable friend to all who knew her.
The memorial service for Pat will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014, 10:30am -
