Governor Brown Announces Appointment to CA Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board

Margaret Parker, 69, of Santa Ana, has been appointed to the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board. Parker has been the coordinator of the Communication Sciences and Disorders Program at California State University, Dominguez Hills since 2007, where she has held multiple positions since 1999, including lecturer and assistant and coordinator of special education and of the human services program. Parker was clinical director of Western Medical Center Santa Ana's Center for Voice from 1992 to 1999, a speech and language pathologist in private practice from 1981 to 1991 and a speech pathologist for the Westminster School District from 1970 to 1972. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in communication disorders from the University of Southern California. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is a $100 per diem. Parker is a Republican.
