Course 1: Patient Counseling

Research has shown that patients accurately retain only a portion of the information healthcare practitioners provide them during counseling sessions. Focusing on adult learning principles, we discussed in this course a number of techniques and tools practitioners can incorporate into their counseling sessions to increase patient retention and improve outcomes.

Course 2: Know Your Patient

Today, we have access to a myriad of hearing aid fitting approaches and software tools which facilitate interactive fitting, post-fitting, and counseling sessions. In this course we discussed how to enhance the effectiveness of such fitting tools by applying them in a manner that is congruent with patients' learning and personality styles.
