Explaining Hi-Tech Features Highlight!
Manager of Starkey Labs Network Training, Mary Leisses, MS, will discuss wireless, frequency lowering, BlueTooth, 16 channel gizmos that overwhelm even some engineers are being fit on people whose average age is 69+. This course discussed techniques for explaining and differentiating the various technologies for the older consumer. Focusing on "benefit" language instead of technological, the course provided in-depth information on algorithms for the professional while offering suggestions for verbiage when speaking with a prospective patient and/or their family. Continuing Education Available!
Courses have been submitted to the International Hearing Society and the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board for a total of 19 continuing professional development hours (CPDs) -- or commonly referred to as continuing education units (CEUs).
Saturday only registration will satisfy the 9 hours of CPDs required per year for a hearing aid dispensers and for a dispensing audiologist within the hearing aid dispensing category.
