Medi-Cal Date of Service Clarification

As a follow-up to the CAA / HHP jointly hosted Medi-Cal provider conference call yesterday evening, HHP was asked to clarify the date of service when billing Medi-Cal for hearing aid devises. Medi-Cal provider manual section,
hear aid bill, page 1 states in part the following:
"The date that the hearing aid was ordered is entered as the date of service in the Date(s) of Service field (Box 24A)..."
