Message from Easy Choice to Contracted Providers

Dear HHP Managed Care Members:

The following message has been provided to the Hearing HealthCare Providers Managed Care Program by the Easy Choice plan.  We have been instructed to forward this information along with the attached documentation to our program members currently contracted with the plan.  Please review the instructions and take action to complete the process within the 90-day time frame.  All questions may be directed to the Easy Choice contact provided below.

THE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS ARE BEING SENT ON BEHALF OF EASY CHOICE HEALTH PLAN'S COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT.

As you may be aware, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plan (MAPD), such as Easy Choice Health Plan (ECHP), and all of its first tier, downstream and related entities, to complete compliance training during contract implementation and annually thereafter.

It is our responsibility as a plan sponsor to ensure that all participating providers and their staff members complete compliance training and provide attestations to substantiate that this CMS requirement has been met.  We will accept any documentation provided to and accepted by other health plans to meet this training requirement, and request providers to be prepared to furnish ECHP with items such as training materials and sign-in sheets when requested.

Enclosed is a copy of Easy Choice Health Plan's 2012 Compliance Training document along with an Attestation Form for your use and reference.  These documents will also be posted shortly to our website at: www.easychoicehealthplan.com under the Provider tab.

Please complete and return the enclosed Attestation Form if your organization have already completed its annual compliance training for 2012.  If your organization's Agreement has an effective within 2012 or 01/01/2013 and have submitted the FWA attestation to Easy Choice Health Plan during contract implementation, your organization will not need to resubmit.  Resubmission will also be accepted.

For audit purposes, please return the FWA Attestation within 90 calendar days of receipt.

We appreciate your cooperation.  Should you have any questions pertaining to this matter, please feel free to contact Ms. Erica Ruiz, Compliance Project Manager II at (562) 343-9758 or via email at eruiz@easychoicehp.com, or myself at (562) 343-9819 or via e-mail at apham@easychoicehp.com.
