Year Round

While we all might have complained about the heat the past week or so, it has impacted the fruit and our harvest schedule. Dave mentioned in his "Pop's Perspective" Video that we might be picking fruit sooner than we anticipated earlier this spring.

The impact of the heat on our crops is really important for you as a customer to understand.  It means that fruit might show up to market a week or so earlier than in years past.  It may also mean that the amount of time that we have a variety of fruit might be a little shorter because the fruit matured faster than usual.  Luckily, we have multiple varieties of the same fruit, so that extends our harvest window even though Mother Nature speeds things up a bit.

We have really nice crops of blueberries, cherries, raspberries, plums and apricots.  And we don't want you to miss out on your favorite summer fruits.  Come regularly to market (despite the heat we may have), ask us when we'll be bringing your favorite fruit, check our website, Facebook, and read our newsletter. We'll let you know what we'll be bringing to market!

We'll see you at Market!

Pop's Perspective:  Crop Update on Apricots, Plums, Cherries & Blueberries.

We are still looking good for a nice cherry crop.  As Dave says in this week's Pop's Perspective, "We are picking sweet cherries.  We've got some beautiful stuff this year.  I'm really proud of what we're gonna be bringing to market."

Check out the rest of our crop update.  Early Blush Apricots will be on the shelf this weekend.  And our Methley Plums are loaded this year; they have a few more weeks to ripen on the tree though.

We also visit the Blueberry patch, as we are picking our first variety of blueberries this week.

Pumpkin Stats

Last year we reported that we planted over 2,700 pumpkin plants.

So, here's a different way to look at the pumpkin planting statistics.

We planted over a mile of pumpkins this year! Obviously, not in a continuous row, but nonetheless....that's still a lot of pumpkins!

What do all of these
vehicles have in common?

A KO sticker!!

Have you picked up yours at market?  They are free with any purchase.  And you don't have to just put them on your vehicle...they can go on your tablet, your kid's stroller...anywhere!

KO obviously stands for Kuhn Orchards.  But it can also stand for Knock Out fruit...because that's what we grow!
We look forward to seeing you at the Farmers Market!
