All About Our Asparagus
We take great pride in our asparagus (we take pride in everything that we grow...) and we want you to know why.

We hand-pick our asparagus daily, sometimes even twice a day to keep on top of it.  Since we harvest so regularly, we are able to select shorter spears.  Our harvest team uses wooden sticks to ensure that the spears are picked at the perfect length.  We then immediately put the asparagus on ice to eliminate the field heat.  Once cooled we rinse, sort, weigh, pack, and ice the asparagus bunches.

So what does this mean for you?  Our Asparagus is always....
  • Fresh because we pick daily.
  • Tender because we pick young spears.
  • True Asparagus Tips because the tips are tightly closed
When you select our asparagus tips, there is no need to pop the bottoms off the asparagus.  You can eat the entire spear; there is no woody bottom because of our picking schedule and requirements.

New Kuhn Orchards Recipe & Resource Booklet
We revised our Kuhn Orchards Recipe & Resource Booklet.  Be sure to pick up your free copy at the market this weekend.  Some of the recipes are repeats because they are classics that everyone should know and love.  But there are many new recipes too.

We also include a little bio section about the farm and our growing practices.  There are also tips on how to properly select and store our produce.  Its a great resource and we hope you enjoy it!

We also have magnets with our farmers market schedule.  Its is a picture of our Pear trees in bloom.  One day these market magnets will be collector's items!

Be sure to pick-up both at the market!

Remember to Bring Your
